CirKits SPC3 rev 1 mod
The SPC3-a solar power center circuit board should have resistor R24,
a 10K ohm 1/4 W part, added on the top of the board. R24 connects from
the emitter of Q5 to the junction of R18 and the on/off switch.
This part assures that Q5 in held in the off state in the vicinity of
radio transmitters.
The resistor should be cut to length and the ends of the leads bent to form
small hooks to fit around the other part leads.
When the leads have been correctly formed, solder both sides as shown in
the photo. Be sure to prevent the bare leads from contacting other wires.
R24 may also be installed on the bottom of the board, just be sure to
connect to the same two endpoints.
